What is Aruvia?
Aruvia is a free semi-idle browser MMORPG with persistent progression and a player-only economy. You can gather, craft, trade, explore, fight, and develop multiple skills from a desktop or mobile browser.
Can I play the alpha?
Yes. The alpha is currently open to anyone who can sign in with a Google account. Alpha means the game is still being actively tested, so features, balance, and interfaces can change and bugs are expected.
Will alpha progress carry into beta?
No. All alpha progress is planned to be reset before beta testing begins. The reset gives the beta economy and progression a clean starting point after alpha testing and balance changes.
Will playtesters receive anything after the wipe?
Yes. Alpha and beta testers will receive their corresponding permanent tester badges on their profiles after the planned testing wipe. The profile badge system will be added later in development.
Can I download or install Aruvia?
No download is required: Aruvia runs in a modern web browser. It is also a Progressive Web App (PWA), so supported browsers can install it to your desktop or home screen. Look for “Install app” or “Add to Home Screen” in your browser menu; the exact wording depends on your device and browser.
Does Aruvia work on mobile?
Yes. Aruvia is designed for desktop and mobile browsers, and the same account and characters are available on both. Its PWA support can provide an app-like shortcut on supported devices.
Is Aruvia an idle game?
Aruvia is best described as semi-idle. Many activities continue for a chosen duration without constant attention, but you still return to choose activities, manage equipment and resources, trade, travel, and take part in combat and social play.
Is Aruvia free to play?
Yes. Aruvia will remain playable for free. Planned monetization includes an optional premium membership, a premium currency called gems, and cosmetics. Both premium access and gems are also planned to have ways to obtain them without paying real money.
Is Aruvia multiplayer?
Yes. Players share an economy and can use markets, auctions, direct trades, chat, friends, and parties. Parties can travel and enter dungeons together, while combat also includes random encounters, friendly challenges, and dangerous player-versus-player ganking.
